KEY BENEFITS

Here are some common problems we've solved

problem.png

Too much theory on UX 😓

Learning concepts and jargon is useful if you are writing an exam, but not knowing how to apply them will hinder your job opportunities.

A huge problem ⚠️

solution.png

Learn from real-world examples 🌏

Every UX concept and terminology is explained with an example to demonstrate its use case in a real-world setting.

Practical examples > Plain theory ✅

problem.png

Limited practice material ‼️

There is a lack of resources to help beginners apply their knowledge to ultimately hone their skills.

Less growth opportunity 👀

solution.png

Design along exercise 🤝

Solve a real-world practice exercise and compare your solutions to those of a senior designer.

Broaden your perspective 🧠

problem.png

Cookie cutter approach ❌

Beginners learn processes like 'design thinking' and 'double diamond' in a linear manner, and struggle to adjust their workflow in a practical environment.

Rigid mindset 😑

solution.png

Adaptable framework 🏄‍♂️

Our framework is beginner-friendly designed to foster problem solving no matter the nature of the project.

Flexible process ⚡️

So much love from our readers

I recently got the UX Kickstarter by Sushrut, and even though it's just been few days, I’ve already gone through a few chapters, and I’m genuinely impressed. The content is super insightful and really helpful—it feels like a guide I can keep referring to whenever I’m working on something design-related. I’ve started reading it alongside building my UX portfolio and case studies, and it’s been so practical and easy to follow so far. The way everything is explained makes it approachable, even while balancing it with my work. Can’t wait to dive deeper and finish the rest of it!

Aspiring UX/UI Designer

Reading this book instilled confidence in me to take up projects. This felt more like a neat and organized one on one session. I would suggest this book to anyone who wants to break into UX. It's better to have a book like this, introspect, figure out a timeline and start with a project, because getting the basics right is of utmost importance. This is rightly named "Kickstarter UX". Thanks for this ! :)

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sushrut Mangeshikar

Senior Digital Product Designer

A former corporate research analyst with a background in accounting and finance, Sushrut pivoted his career to UX to pursue his interest in design.

He is a self taught designer, who fueled his passion by learning the fundamentals of UX from books, online courses, articles, videos and other materials.

In the last 8 years, Sushrut has been fortunate to work with talented individuals from varied practices such as design, product management, engineering and c-level management.

Together, they have helped brands scale their business and tackled complex problems in the FinTech, EdTech and Healthcare space to name a few.

However, starting out in this domain was far from straightforward. At the time, there weren't as many quality and affordable options for designers to get started in UX. Even today, there is a dearth of reliable solutions to help aspirants break into this domain.

Therefore, Sushrut decided to write this book, and solve the 'cold start' problem by sharing the knowledge and expertise he has garnered so far in his career.

We truly hope you seek value from it.
